About Me

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. Went to college at San Diego State University where I obtained a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology. During college I achieved my dream job as a dolphin trainer for the US Navy's Marine Mammal Program. In 2007, I became a PADI Dive Instructor and worked parttime for Sport Chalet teaching classes. In 2008, I packed up and moved to Hawaii to persue a career in the dive industry. While in Oahu I started painting again and I started enjoying my time freediving. Also while I was in Hawaii I acheived another goal of mine, I became a licensed 100 Ton boat captain. At the end of 2008 I packed up again and I was off on my adventure. The rest is still unwritten...

My Passion

I was put on this earth to teach people to appreciate the ocean and the creatures within it. My mission is to use my adventures and my scuba instructor certification to bring awareness to divers and any one else I encounter in my lifetime. If I can inspire some one to get involved and seek awareness to the present issues that our oceans are facing then I've done my job. I would like to dedicate my work to Steve Irwin...he will forever be in my heart guiding me through my mission.

Along with posting stories of my adventures…I would like to update everyone who reads this with the current issues connected too ocean conservation. So please feel free to email questions, concerns, or comments…I would love to hear from you. Also if you feel like one of my updates has touched you and you want to know how to give more or do something…check out the links on this website.

Sawgrass Recreational Park

What FUN…we went out to the Sawgrass Rec Park that is apart of the Florida Everglades and took an air boat ride. It was great because we got 2 alligators to show up by the boat plus we got to drink beer and eat beef jerky while on the boat! After the boat ride I got to play Croc Hunter…I got to hold a 3 year old alligator!!! It was awesome!!! Alligators in the state of Florida are managed for the survival of this species if you would like more info check out The Alligator Management Program.

This is definitely something everyone should check out while in Florida.

Diving the Blue Heron Bridge in West Palm Beach

So the sea was too rough to doing some diving this past weekend, but that didn’t stop us we dove under a bridge instead! The Blue Heron Bridge is located at Phil Foster Park and is a great shallow dive for all. Our dive profile was 14 feet for 67 mins using my Suunto D4 computer. There is a trick to diving this site…you need to know the tides because it is best to dive this site with the incoming tide, this is when the clear water flows in and you can get some great visiblity there. The bridge pillings are teaming with life…it was a photgraphers dream for macro shots. I shot video for this dive so stay tune for the footage! This is a shore dive so you must bring a dive flag to dive it. There are bathrooms and a shower on-site plus you can make it fun because there are BBQ areas and tables to make a day of the diving. We went along with the South Florida Women Divers club…but I brought Jeremy and Brett along :)

We all enjoyed this dive especially Jeremy & Sara, they even shared in a kiss!!!

Friends in town…

My friends Jeremy, Sara, and Lillian all were in Florida last weekend and we had a blast!!! They all wanted to do was some diving; however, the ocean was to rough to dive. So we got creative and did some sight-seeing. We went to the Pomopano Seafood Festival, Dinner down at Ft Lauderdale beach area, diving at the Blue Heron Bridge, lunch on the beach, drinks on a pier in Sunny Beach Isles, air boat ride in on the Sawgrass Rec Park, and dinner on Las Olas Blvd…we did it all!!!
